Guatapé:
The Rock, the Reservoir, and the Colour

El Peñón de Guatapé rises 200 metres from the surrounding landscape like something left behind by a larger world. Around its base: a vast reservoir the colour of green glass, and a village of painted facades so vivid they seem to emit light rather than reflect it. Guatapé is one of those places that looks impossible until you're standing in it.

Draft in progress. Photos and full write-up coming soon. The skeleton is here — the story follows.
